WHY I'M DOING IT
Each day in February I'm surfing or swimming to raise money for cancer research. This February I'm aiming to progress my surfing and spend more time in the ocean.
In addition, I would love to try to raise money to support cancer research so that many people struggling with cancer will have a better outcome and to positively impact those dealing with cancer.
With 1 in 2 people being affected by cancer, raising money to fight it is so important as it can have a tremendous affect on many lives. I personally would love to help people fight cancer as I know from my dad how difficult and painful having cancer can be. He helped me fall in love with surfing and the ocean and would take me out and push me on waves. I know he'd be proud of the progress I've made, and even though we can't go out together anymore, I'd love to help people going through similar experience and continue surfing and progressing.
