Raising money for impactful cancer research projects

For a surfer, taking part in Surfebruary may not sound like a challenge. I'm not running a marathon or cycling around Australia. The difference is the charity itself.

The money I raise will go to specific research teams in Australia with clearly defined aims and outcomes.

Check out this inspiring list of 2023 projects the event funded:ย https://www.surfebruary.com/the-surfeb-fund

The reality is that one in two of us will be affected by cancer in our lifetime. The good news is that we can make a tangible impact on how we treat cancer by contributing to innovative cancer research that benefits us all.

Anything you can give will go a long way to helping people with cancer and their families.

Thank you and see you in the water!

Simon

Saturday 17th Feb
Cruisy surf in the sunshine. Busy weekend crowds but good vibes.ย

Thursday 15th Feb
Small clean waves in Noosa today. Spotted another sea turtle. Slippery jump in off the rocks.ย

Day 14 - Sunrise Beach

Wednesday 14th Feb
A little bit too big and bashy out there this morning. Tagged one wave and headed in.

Day 13 - Noosa Nationals

Tuesday 13th Feb
Grey afternoon but caught a few and saw some dolphins. Shoulders killing at this stage : )

Day 12 - Noosa Little Cove

Monday 12th Feb
Few small waves to end the day. Full of after school groms.ย

Thursday 8th Feb
Afternoon session. Caught some beautiful fast peelers. Made me fancy a long board.ย

Day 7 - Sunshine Beach

Wednesday 7th Feb
Solid 4ft on the open beaches. Didn't make it out the back. Wrong choice with crazy current today but scored a fast beachie and headed in.

Day 6 - Castaways

Tuesday 6th Feb
Back feeling sore so took it easy and played in the waves with Bailey.ย

Day 5 - Sunrise Beach

Monday 5th Feb
Beautiful morning but waves didn't want to play. Caught a junky beachy and ticked the box.ย

Day 4 - Sunrise Beach - Doggos

Sunday 4th Feb
Super clean this morning with 3ft sets. Shortboard felt good with new AM2 fins.ย

Day 3 - Sunrise Beach

Saturday 3rd Feb
Sunny morning with 2-3ft clean beachies. Bigger than expected. Two dolphins cruised past mid session. Lifeguards on there jetskis and a black baron retro plane flew overhead.

Day 2 - Sunshine Beach Clubbies

Friday 2nd Feb
Stunning day. Sand had been raked so beach looked stunning. Cross shore winds meant junky waves but mission complete..

Day 1 - Noosa Nationals

Thursday 1st Feb
First day of Surfebuary complete with a surf at Noosa Nationals surf break. Clean 2ft with offshore winds. Rainbow in the distance with a few sea turtles popping up to say hi. A great start to the event. YeWWWW!
