WHY I'M DOING IT

As I've done for the past 4 years, I’ll be hitting the water again every day this February for SurFebruary and raising funds for cancer research at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse. 

Many of my friends and family have fought this insidious disease over the years and some have sadly lost their battle. I also know a lot of people who are dealing with it right now... it’s awful and I wish I could do more to help. 

The good news is that we CAN make a tangible impact by contributing to cancer research that benefits us all.

It only takes a minute to donate and anything you can give (no matter how big or small) will go a long way to helping people with cancer and their families.

There’s a problem with the swimming part this year though… I'm travelling to Antarctica for the second half of Feb, so I’ll need some of my friends to jump in the Pacific Ocean on my behalf while I won’t be anywhere near it! Who’s keen?

As a trade off, I’ll be doing the polar plunge in the Southern Ocean, so watch this space.
