WHY I'M DOING IT

Each day in February I'm hitting the water for SurFebruary and raising funds for cancer research at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.

The reality is that one in two of us will be affected by cancer in our lifetime. That’s a pretty big statistic. The good news is that we can make a tangible impact on how we treat cancer by contributing to innovative cancer research that benefits us all.

It only takes a minute to donate and anything you can give (no matter how big or small) will go a long way to helping people with cancer and their families.

2025, What A Year To Be Alive

Friday 17th Jan
For many, the last couple of years have been tough.  Personally, last year was probably my toughest yet.  Now I'm not one for New Year's resolutions,  but as the year clicks over I genuinely feel a sense of optimism for 2025.  I vow to live life to the full, enjoy the simple pleasures and grab every opportunity by the horns.  I aim to give 100% to every endeavour I pursue...because honestly, what's the point of doing something at all if it's only half-hearted?  For this very reason I am pumped for this year's Surfebruary, and will give it my all. The ocean is a sanctuary for good vibes and goodwill, and what better way is there to raise money for cancer research thanks to the admirable efforts of Chris O'Brien Lifehouse than by committing to a salty splash every day.  Surfebruary 2025, what a time to be alive!
